And even though this #bookishparty was a lot shorter than the first (which hit the four hour mark AND had a super fun Google hangout), we were amazed by the amount of people joining us. We are truly so overwhelmed with your enthusiasm and support for the #bookishparty! We saw SO many new faces. And the true mark of success? We were trending on Twitter.
That's right. We were trending!
(We also got author spam!)
Of course, more awesome things happened:
- People got in Twitter jail for tweeting too much. (This includes both Cassie and Judith. After all, it's only a good party if BOTH hosts get jailed, right? Thank goodness we made a Twitter account just in time.)
- We gave you some awful kiss/marry/kill questions, and book bloggers broke up because of it. (Sorry!) (Judith really does want to kill Warner, though.)
- We messed up the rules once, and decided people should just DRINK. That should have been our first rule to start with.
- The dreamy scenario game were very popular, and got a whole lot of different answers. (Of course, we all want to go skinny dipping with hot YA guys.)
Thanks to your lovely response and enthusiasm, we have decided to make #bookishparty a recurring thing. In fact, we will be hosting one awesome Twitter party every two months! You can find the upcoming dates in our official schedule, but you can always comment or tweet us with questions. This is nothing more than a way to have fun and meet other bloggers via Twitter!
Let's Chat!
What do you think of the #bookishparty so far? We have mostly been playing drinking games and asked bookish questions, but we'd love to hear what YOU think we should do. More games? Different games? Would you like more giveaways? :) We'd love to hear from you and suggestions are always welcome!
I can sum my thoughts up in a word: "FUN!"
ReplyDeleteAWWW, i gotta say, it really was!
DeleteThis makes me very sad that I missed out on the party yesterday. The games you came up with sound like a lot of fun. Landing in twitter jail is the mark of success too. I'm looking forward to the next one, though!!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHHA totally the mark of success!
DeleteMy thoughts: JUDITH AND I ARE NO LONGER FRIENDS WITH STALKER TENDENCIES. I still can't believe she wants to kill my husband.
ReplyDeleteGIVE US MOAR GIVEAWAYS.
